Dunsmore Honey produces flavorful honey in the rugged, picturesque Texas Hill Country. The hives are located at the Dunsmore family homestead in New Braunfels, TX (off Purgatory Rd.) and are never chemically treated.
The apiary is surrounded by native Texas plants in large meadows of wildflowers and thickets of oak, ashe juniper (mountain cedar), and elm trees. The diversity of flowering plants in the area is truly astonishing.
Frames of honeycomb are removed from the hives after the honey has ripened. They are then carefully processed by hand to ensure pure, raw honey rich in pollen, enzymes, antioxidants, and more.
At Dunsmore Honey, we believe that our honey is more than a simple sweetener; it is a medicinal food. The sweet, complex taste of this “liquid gold” is a wonderful treat year-round and many of our customers use it to help alleviate seasonal allergies and other ailments (for both humans and pets).
Buy honey at our online shop or at upcoming markets (listed below) and explore our homegrown and homemade products. Thank you!
I have tried a variety of different brands of honey, but Dunsmore is the best honey I have ever tasted. The flavor is mild, yet requires a small amount to sweeten a cup of tea. I also like the natural approach to sustainability with their farming.
