Dunsmore Honey produces amazing honey in the beautiful Texas Hill Country from hives that are never chemically treated. The apiary is located at the Dunsmore family homestead in rural New Braunfels, TX.
The hives are surrounded by native Texas plants in large meadows of wildflowers and thickets of oak, ashe juniper (mountain cedar), and elm trees. The diversity of flowering plants in the area is truly astonishing.
Frames of honeycomb are removed from the hives, by hand, after the honey has ripened. They are then carefully processed to ensure pure, raw honey rich in pollen, enzymes, antioxidants, and more.
At Dunsmore Honey, we believe that our honey is more than a simple sweetener, it is a medicinal food. The sweet, complex taste of this “liquid gold” is a wonderful treat all year round and many of our customers use it to help alleviate seasonal allergies (for both humans and pets).
